題名:中輟復學生生態系統觀輟學成因及歷程之質性研究

本研究目的在:(1)以生態系統觀點對輟學歷程進行探討,了解形成輟學之生態系統因素,以探討輟學歷程之形成;(2)深入發掘中輟復學生在個人、家庭、和學校等不同系統內因素對輟學歷程的影響;(3)探索輟學歷程和中輟事件本身對中輟復學生的意義。
本研究以質性方法來進行,以立意取樣方式覓得資源式中途班中輟復學生4名及照顧該班之導師為研究對象。以訪談大綱作為訪談指引,採用深度個別訪談、焦點團體訪談,並在訪談過程中,同步進行簡易觀察、及檔案文件等方式來蒐集資料。資料整理與分析的操作步驟包括:謄寫訪談逐字稿、協同分析驗證、確認分析段落、進行開放性編碼、整理內容形成脈絡、繪製生態系統圖、及撰寫研究報告。信度與效度的考量是採取Lincoln 和Guba(1985)所提出的四個建立信賴度的指標。為達成信賴度指標,採三角驗證、參與者檢核、研究省思和評論、及豐富的描述等方式來達到這些指標。為提升對資料分析的觸覺性及有效性,本研究邀請一位在研究場域中任教的教師擔任協同分析者。
研究結果如下:(1)家庭系統為輟學問題的根源:學生中輟問題是由其家庭引發出來的;(2)家庭系統塑造個人系統:不當家庭管教方式會形塑其子女偏差性格;(3)個人系統系統影響學校系統:日常生活作息不正常,影響學校正常學習;(4)個人系統於學校系統內狀況百出:遲到曠課為中輟之徵兆;(5)學校系統對個人系統的影響:中輟復學生的同儕及師生關係均不佳;(6)外在系統對個人系統的影響:網咖成為中輟休息站及犯罪溫床;(7)中間系統缺乏密切的聯繫:家庭、個人、及學校系統連結度低;(8)外在系統對個人系統的約束:司法體制強制中輟生回到正常軌道。最後提出實務上的建議及未來研究方向,藉供實務工作者之參考。
Based on the point of view of ecosystem, the purposes of this study were to explore different aspects of the dropouts, including the process of their dropping out, and the factors contributed to this process, and the possible influences of their personal lives, families and educational systems. The personal meaning of dropping out for these students was also examined through their own reflection.
Data were collected through the methods of in-depth interviews and focus groups of four dropouts. Documents of the students and information from their class teacher were also collected to enrich and verify the data. All the data from different resources were then subjected to content analysis and categories were developed and described. The emerging categories were also subjected to peer reviews to ensure reliability and validity of findings.
The results were as follows:
1) Family system is one of the contributing factors of the students’ dropping out.
2) A dysfunctional family will impact children’s personality and behaviors.
3) The students’ irregular lifestyle will influence their school performance.
4) Absenteeism at school is an indicator of future dropping out possibility.
5) Dropouts usually have a poor relationship with their classmates and teachers.
6) In mesosystem, weak communication among the students, their families and their school also contributes to the factors of dropping out.
7) Exosystem has an impact on the students’ behavior. For example, internet stores are the respites for those dropouts.
8) Exosystem is able to provide an external control for those dropouts.
Finally, some practical suggestions were provided to professional helpers.
