本研究目的在建構生涯定向諮商的模式,並透過持續案主的檢證工作,確認此生涯定向諮商模式。
本研究分為兩階段,第一階段為建構階段,以達終點行為案主,採發現取向任務分析法進行資料分析,建立初始生涯定向諮商模式,後再透過持續進行並達終點行為之案主,修正擴充理念模式,以確認擴充後之生涯定向諮商模式。本模式共有十五要件,為有效確認案主於生涯定向諮商歷程,由起點行為至終點行為之表現;同時依要件內容間的關係,確認經常相連出現的要件組成要件組型,以及未固定相連但相關高之要件組成要件巨集,呈現案主在諮商歷程中的變化;並進一步依要件內容彼此之關係與順序,繪製生涯定向諮商模式要件流程圖,依要件在諮商歷程中出現的時間順序,呈現要件在流程圖中的相對位置,並由要件流程了解案主在諮商中評估整合階段,於兩大要件巨集間形成動力、循環性的評估,據此了解案主在生涯定向諮商歷程中的要件表現及轉變歷程。
本研究第二階段為檢證階段,以擴充後之生涯定向諮商模式之十五要件為框架,透過六個案主之諮商歷程改變要件進行檢證工作,將達終點行為與未達終點行為案主之改變要件與生涯定向諮商模式進行比對,了解要件、要件組型及要件巨集缺漏的情形,確認本研究之生涯定向諮商模式具有特色,可區別出達到終點行為與未達終點行為之案主在諮商改變歷程中要件的缺漏情形。
最後研究者依據本研究之結論與發現,針對生涯諮商及未來研究提出建議。
The purpose of the current study is to develop a counseling model of career decision-making and to revise the model through continually examining the validity of the model among the sample of six Taiwanese college students.
There are two stages of the current investigation. In the first stage, the model development stage, the discover approach task analysis method was applied to analyze career counseling process of three participants who were originally career indecisive and who reached a temporary career decision after the six to eight sessions of career counseling. After the analyzing the transcript of the first participant, a initial counseling model of career decision-making was developed. By analyzing transcripts of counseling sessions of the rest two participants, the initial model was revised and expanded.
In the final model, fifteen components emerged from the data depicted the change process in which participants evoked from career undecidedness to decidedness. Based on the content and the adjacency of components, the patterns of components were identified. Additionally, the components that did not appear adjacence but highly relative connected to one were grouped as the aggregation of components. By examining components, the patterns of components, and the aggregations of components, participants’ changes in the counseling process were presented. Furthermore, to visibly present the connections between components and to show the order of components arose in counseling sessions, a flow chart of the final model was created. In this chart, the dynamic and reciprocal influences of the two main the aggregation of components in the evaluation process of the model were presented.
The second stage of this study is the model validation stage. The fifteen components emerged from the first stage of the study were used as the framework to examine participants’ changes in the career counseling process. Transcripts for participants who reached a temporary career decision were compared with those who did not reach that in order to examine whether the existence of components, the patterns of components, and the aggregations of components were different from these two groups of participants. The results suggested that the counseling model of career decision-making developed in the first stage adequately explained the distinct change process for these two groups of participants.
Finally, based on the research findings, recommendations for future research and implications for career counseling with career indecisive clients were discussed.
