     本研究旨在探究議題中心教學法的理論基礎及其教學模式。首先試由建構主義、進步主義及失衡理論等方面,討論議題中心教學法的理論基礎。並略述議題中心教學法與多元文化教育之相關。 有關議題中心教學法的教學模式,本文舉其最具特色的二種模式──結構式爭論及作決定模式,進行進一步的討論。並分析目前國內的教學現況,得知「作決定模式」較能符合議題中心教學法的特性。 基於上述之探討,本研究對當前的議題中心教學之實施,提出下列二點建議: 一、「結構式爭論」易落入傳統教學法的窠臼。 二、以議題為主的課程適合以「作決定模式」的單元架構實施。
