父母教育期望對子女教育成就的影響情形,深受社會學家及心理學家重視,本文主旨在針對父母教育期望對子女教育成就之影響做文獻上的整理,分別從父母教育期望的意義與測量、父母教育期望的重要性、父母教育期望的影響模式、影響父母教育期望的因素及提昇教育期望的方法五部分探討之。從分析中得知父母教育期望對子女的自我期望及學業表現有很大的影響,有三種理論模式解釋父母教育期望對子女學業成就的影響過程是複雜的,而影響父母教育期望的重要因素包括社經地位、教育程度、性別、種族、子女的能力和學業表現及父母的理想和過去經驗等六項。最後,在提昇教育期望的做法上,分別對父母及老師提出具體建議,盼能有效提昇子女教育成就。
How parents' educational expectation affect their children educational achievement? This issue has been emphasized by sociologists and psychologists. The purpose of this article focuses on this issue to investigate the related literature. This article discuss respectively from the meaning and measurement of parents' educational expectation, the influential model of parents' educational expectation, the affected factor of parents' educational expectation, and the method of raising parents' educational expectation. From the analysis, we can learn that parents' educational expectation has a great influence on children' self-expectation and academic performance. There are three theoretic models which explain the complicated influential process of parents' educational expectation to affect their children educational achievement. The important factor which affect parents' educational expectation include six ones. They are social economical status, educational level, gender, race, children ability and academic performance, parents' ideal and past experience. Finally, as far as the way of raising parents' educational expectation concerned, the paper provides concrete suggestions for parents and school teachers, hoping to raise children educational achievement effectively.
