本研究旨討諮商師的性別、性別偏見及其婚姻狀況，對婚姻諮商歷程的影響。本研究採用質的研究法，個別訪談六位具備諮商碩士以上學位之現任諮商師(含三男三女；已婚四人，未婚二人；已婚四人中，自覺婚姻滿意與不滿意者各半)，蒐集其對婚姻諮商的經驗、看法與感受並資料分析。研究結果發現：1.諮商師之性別變項確會影響其婚姻諮商歷程，女性諮商師較易抜持女性當事人，對男性當事人或女性當事人的伴侶有較多的負向態度；2.諮商師皆能自覺個人的性別偏見並避免影響其婚姻諮商歷程，惟對婚姻暴力與性侵害的個案，諮商師仍存有潛藏的性別偏見意識；3.諮商師已婚或未婚不會影響其婚姻諮商歷程的專業作為；4.婚姻滿意度高者較易客觀處理婚姻問題，婚姻關係不良的諮商師較容易介入個人的價值觀，出現自我的情緒；5.常見的婚姻諮商問題依序為「婚姻溝通」、「外遇諮商」、「婚姻暴力」與「法律諮詢」。本研究據此提出五項建議，以供諮商員教育機構和婚姻諮商人員的參考。

The study looks into how the gender of counselors, their gender bias and marital status influence the marriage counseling process. This is a quality study, in which six counselors with at least a master’s degree were interviewed. Their experiences, feelings and opinions about the counseling process were gathered and analyzed. The study finds that: 1. The counselors’ gender does affect the counseling process. Female counselors tend to sympathize with female clients and take a negative attitude toward male clients or the spouse of a female client. 2. The counselors are aware of their personal gender bias and try to avoid its interference in the marriage counseling process. As for the clients involved in marital violence and sexual assault, they are gender based toward them subconsciously. 3. Whether a counselor is married or not does affect their performance in the profession. 4. Counselors who are satisfied with their marriage status can handle the marital problems in a more objective way, while those who are not tend to get their personal values and feelings involved. 5. The common problems in marriage counseling include communication skills in marriage, extra-marital affair counseling, martial violence and legal problem counseling. Based on the findings, five suggestions have been proposed for related organizations and counselors.
