Purpose: (a) The social support situation to the retired teachers.(b) The retired teachers' current participation condition on leisure activities.(c) The difference between social support and participation leisure activities on different research groups. Method: ”Questionnaire of retired teachers' social support and participation leisure activities” was conducted as the research instrument. A total of 650 copies of questionnaire were delivered with 412 valid responses returned, the valid return rate is 63.3%. The data were analyzed statistically by using descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation. Results:(a) Our data showed significant differences in the ”informational support” and ”evaluating support” in different gender Taoyuan retired teachers' social support ; as well as the different retired years on ”evaluating support” ”informational support” ”emotional support” and instruct mental support” ; social support of different inhabit area which all are not reaching significant difference ; different marital status reach significant differences on ”emotional support” ; different living situation reach significant differences on ”evaluating support” ”informational support” ”emotional support” and ”instrumental support” ,(b) There was no significant difference among Taoyuan retired teachers with different gender on participation in leisure activities but to different retired years; the participation in leisure activities among different schools between retirement and working does not reach significant differences, so does different inhabit area. Different marital status and different inhabited situation are reaching significant differences on participation in leisure activities.(c) There was a positive correlation between social support and leisure participation behavior among Taoyuan retired teachers.
