題名:成人參與一貫道活動對其智慧與靈性健康影響之研究─以發一崇德道場為例

本研究旨在探討成人參與一貫道活動對其智慧與靈性健康之影響。研究目的主要有七項:一、了解一貫道道親智慧及靈性健康之現況;二、分析不同背景變項之一貫道道親在智慧及靈性健康之差異;三、探討一貫道道親智慧與靈性健康之相關情形;四、探討不同背景變項之一貫道道親對智慧及靈性健康之預測力;五、了解一貫道道親接觸道場因緣及持續接近之動力;六、探究一貫道道親參與宗教活動後對其智慧與靈性健康之影響;七、根據研究結果,提出具體建議,以作為未來相關研究或有關單位之參考。
本研究採用問卷調查法及質性訪談並重的方式,在問卷調查法方面,共發放713份,有效樣本為572份,所使用之統計方法包含描述統計、t考驗、單因子變異數分析、皮爾遜積差相關及GLM線性模式分析等方法。在質性訪談方面,則以立意取樣及滾雪球之取樣方式,共訪談六位參與道齡十年以上之一貫道道親。
根據本研究結果,歸納結論如下:
一、 在一貫道道親的智慧方面
(一)一貫道道親的智慧大致中上,以「慈悲同理」更為明顯
(二)不同的性別、婚姻狀況、教育程度、經濟狀況、隸屬界別(學界、社會界)在「智慧整體」層面上沒有影響
(三)不同年齡、健康狀況、參與道齡、研讀經書時間、參與態度、參與頻率、道場角色及十組運作在「智慧整體」層面上有所影響
二、在一貫道道親的靈性健康方面
(一)一貫道道親的靈性健康頗佳,以「活出意義」狀態最佳
(二)不同性別、婚姻狀況、教育程度、隸屬界別在「靈性健康整體」層面上沒有影響
(三)不同年齡、經濟狀況、健康狀況、參與道齡、研讀經書時間、參與態度、參與頻率、道場角色及十組運作在「靈性健康整體」層面上有所影響
三、一貫道道親之智慧與靈性健康呈現高度的正相關
四、在一貫道道親之不同背景變項對智慧與靈性健康的預測方面
一貫道道親在參與頻率為「9次以上」、教育程度為「大學以上」、道場角色為「講師培訓班以上」、健康狀況為「良好」及「有」參與十組運作之道親對智慧及靈性健康具有預測力
五、一貫道道親接觸道場因緣及持續接近之動力
(一)一貫道道親接觸道場因緣:對人生的疑惑及思索,加上同學和親友的牽引以及一貫道道親與壇主的主動邀約及成全。
(二)一貫道道親持續接近道場之動力:對生死有所體悟、了解人生的意義與真締,同時,也因一貫道道親的付出及道場的溫馨與融洽而感動,再加上仙佛慈語及顯化,使他們對「道」有所肯定而產生持續接近之動力。
六、一貫道道親參與宗教活動對其智慧及靈性健康有正向的影響。
根據本研究之結論提出以下建議:
一、對一貫道道親的建議
(一)一貫道道親應注重身體的保健。
(二)較年輕之一貫道道親應保持學習的心,向年長者請益
(三)一貫道道親宜養成閱讀經典習慣,以啟發智慧,並提升靈性健康
(四)一貫道道親對道場活動應培養主動積極的參與態度
(五)一貫道道親可多參與道場活動,從學習中成長
(六)一貫道道親應持續的進修研究班,進階成長
(七)一貫道道親可參與十組運作,增進自我能力,從服務中提升心靈層次
二、對一貫道發一崇德道場的建議
(一)一貫道發一崇德道場可多增設有關養生保健的課程,促進身心靈成長
(二)一貫道發一崇德道場對於經濟狀況較不好的道親,應予以關心並適時給予協助
(三)一貫道發一崇德道場可適時地頒獎鼓勵高度參與之道親
(四)一貫道發一崇德道場可定期地進行課程設計上的滿意度調查,使課程設計更為完善
三、對政府相關部門的建議
(一)政府相關部門應推展家庭共學,鼓勵閱讀經典文章
(二)政府相關部門應多鼓勵學校或各社教單位辦理宗教相關之課程或研習
活動,以使民眾有接觸宗教相關理念之機會
(三)政府相關部門應鼓勵有關宗教學術研究並予以經費之補助
四、對未來研究的建議
(一)在研究對象上,可針對其它宗教團體為對象進行研究
(二)在研究工具上,宜考量研究對象,編製適合之研究量表
(三)在研究變項上,可考慮其他變項如社會支持及人格特質等變項
The purpose of this study is to explore the influences on wisdom and spiritual health of adults participating in the I-Kuan-Tao activities. It hopes to provide a conclusive result and suggestions for future reference by researcher or related department.
This study adopts the methods of quantitative survey and qualitative interview. In the quantitative survey, 713 questionnaires were given out and 572 of the returned questionnaires are valid. The collected data is processed with SPSS 13.0 for windows. Descriptive statistics, T-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and General linear model are used. In the qualitative interview, six I-Kuan-Tao disciples with over ten years of religious activities participation were interviewed.
The conclusions of this study are as follows:
1. In the aspect of wisdom of I-kuan-Tao disciples:
(1) The scores for wisdom of I-kuan-Tao disciples are between moderate and high, particularly in “mercy and empathy”.
(2) The differences in gender, marital status, educational level, financial status and affiliated section (college section, society section) have no significant influence on the area of “wisdom”.
(3) The differences in age group, health status, duration of receiving Tao, duration of reading the scriptures, attitude, frequence of Tao activities, role and participation in the ten functional groups have a significant influence on the area of “Wisdom”.
2. In the aspect of spiritual health of I-kuan-Tao disciples:
(1)The scores for spiritual health in I-kuan-Tao disciples are good, particularly in “meaningful living”.
(2) The differences in gender, marital status, educational level and affiliated section (college section, society section) have no significant influence on the area of “spiritual health”.
(3) The differences in age group, financial status, health status, duration of receiving Tao, duration of reading the scriptures, attitude, frequency of Tao activities, role and participation in the ten functional groups have a significant influence on the area of ‘spiritual health’.
3. There was strong positive correlation between wisdom and spiritual health.
4. In the aspect of foreseeing the “area of wisdom and spiritual health” among I-kuan-Tao disciple of variable backgrounds:
The five demographic characteristics of I-kuan-Tao disciple that are able to foresee the “area of wisdom and spiritual health” are as follows: “above 9 times” in the frequency of Tao activities, “university and above” in the educational level, “lecturer training class and above” in Tao role, “good” in health status and “participation in the ten functional groups”.
5. The reasons for participation in Tao community and the motivations for continuing contact :
(1) The reasons for participation in Tao community are as follows: to explore the truth of life, guidance from relatives and friends who are Tao disciples, support and encouragement from Tao disciples and temple keepers.
(2) The motivations for continuing contact of Tao community are as follows: realization of life and death, understanding of the true meaning of life, sense of the Tao disciples’ contribution, warmth and harmony of the Tao community, the holy teaching and manifestation of Buddha, Saints and Sages that strengthened their faith in Tao.
6. There are positive influences on the wisdom and spiritual health of Tao disciples participating in the religious activities of I-kuan-Tao.
According to the conclusions listed above, suggestions proposed as follows:
1. Suggestions to I-kuan-Tao disciples:
(1) I-kuan-Tao disciples should take good care of their physical health.
(2) The younger I-kuan-Tao disciples should consult and learn from the seniors.
(3) I-kuan-Tao disciples should cultivate the habit of reading scriptures.
(4) I-kuan-Tao disciples should adopt a positive and pro-active attitude in the participation of Tao activity.
(5) I-kuan-Tao disciples are encouraged to participate in Tao activities.
(6) I-kuan-Tao disciples are encouraged to participate in the Tao learning classes.
(7) I-kuan-Tao disciples are encouraged to participate in the ten functional groups.
2. Suggestions to I-kuan-Tao community:
(1) I-kuan-Tao should add more courses about healthy promotion.
(2) I-kuan-Tao should show concern and support for I-Kuan-Tao disciples who have financial difficulty.
(3) I-kuan-Tao should have more support and encouragement for I-kuan-Tao disciples who are highly engaged in the Tao activities.
(4) I-kuan-Tao should periodically review the Tao learning classes for satisfactory and further improvement to the quality of the classes.
3. Suggestions to government:
(1)The government should encourage the families reading the scriptures together.
(2)The government should encourage the instute holding a conference of religion, and letting people have an opportunity to know the good idea of religion
(3)The government should support the religious research and provide financial assistance for related studies.
4. Suggestions to the future study:
(1) In the aspect of the participants:
Future researchers should consider applying on different I-kuan-Tao community or religious groups such as Buddhism, Taoism, Christianism, and Catholicism.
(2) In the aspect of the instruments:
The instruments are only specific in this study. And it needs to be revised and developed when used in other study groups in the future.
(3) In the aspect of other influencing factors:
Future researchers should consider the other influencing factors such as social support system and personality that may affect wisdom and spiritual health.
