中小學教師專業成長係教育改革成功與否的關鍵之一。美國教學輔導教師 制度係美國教育界近20 年來一方面為了促進資深教師的自我更新發展與經驗傳 承,另一方面為了有效協助、支持與輔導初任教師之專業成長,所推動的教改 政策之一。本文先探討教學輔導教師制度的歷史沿革、理論基礎、意義與目的、 遴選標準與程序、培訓、輔導對象與配對方式、角色職責與工作條件等內涵, 並分析教學輔導教師制度在實施成效與困難方面的實證研究,然後論述如何將 教學輔導教師應用在我國中小學教師專業成長上,提供國內學者專家或實務人 員未來規劃與辦理教師專業成長活動所參酌,以提升國內中小學教師的專業素 質,進而增益學生之學習。
The mentor teacher program has been in practice for years in America. The purposes of the program are to facilitate the self-renewal of senior teachers on the one hand, and to assist and support the beginning teachers on the other. This article summarizes the theoretical base, historical evolution, meaning and goals of the program, and the selection, training, matching, roles and working conditions of the mentors. This study also analyzes the empirical research results of the program. Finally, this paper discusses how to implement a mentor teacher program in elementary and secondary schools for teachers' professional growth in Taiwan.
