Mainland China students have some culture shock for the political system, education and life styles. The intensity of culture shock depends on personal flexibility and tolerance for ambiguity. However, the longer they stay in Taiwan, the better they adjust to the way of life. Meanwhile, Mainland China students were highly satisfied with academic freedom and the friendly assistance provided by school faculty in TaiwanIn sum, we find that Mainland China students have considerable satisfaction with both learning and life environments in Taiwan, which would increase their willingness to come back to Taiwan for an advanced degree and highly recommend Taiwan schools to their friends and families.
