The rise of the Hakka movement in the past 20 years has constantly explored the historical value of Hakka culture and its cultural implications. We bear witness to the traditions Hakka culture and its spirit of nature. Other than folklore, feats, diet, and religious ceremony of “Hakka communities,” is there significant difference amongst LiuDui Hakka traditional settlements? Is there difference with other settlements reflected in socio-economic status? This study aims to research industry structure, population composition and communities in LiuDui Hakka settlements. Through statistics data of the National Census during the Japanese Occupation, the study used Geography Data Mapping to show geographical description and space characteristics in LiuDui Hakka traditional settlements, and to reconstruct regional structures in LiuDui Hakka traditional settlements during the Japanese Occupation that enhanced our understanding of Hakka communities.
