This action research presented the process of collaboration between a university instructor and a group of high school teachers on a life education course offered to preservice students in a college teacher education program. The entire process was described as an analogy of orchestrated symphony with six phases: 1. Prologue: prior development and initiation of collaboration on both sides; 2. Concerto: actual collaboration on course planning; 3. Chorus: course implementation and actual instruction; 4. Bravo: pre-service students demonstrated the ability to integrate theory and practice of life education through selfreflection and lessen plan design; 5. Rondo: the instructor's reflection on the collaboration; 6. Epilogue: suggestions for future actions. This research established a new collaborative teaching model for life education in teacher education and successfully integrated theory and practice, thereby making unique contribution to the field.
