Abstract
We explored the effects of Feuerstein’s Mediated Learning Experience teaching that influence performance in cognition of person with mental retardation by multiple-probe baseline across subjects design in this study. There were five students who were first grade of vocational department of special school participate in this study. Among them, two were the experimenters as the control group and three participated in teaching experiment. After 20 classes of figure reasoning Mediated Learning Experience teaching, two of three experimenters had changed their cognition skill, as well raising scores and changed the appearance rate of errors types in Raven’s Coloured Progressive Matrices. For the testing time, it showed the tendency from more to less. This study showed these effects did make maintenance effects, could generalize the pro-test scores of Test of Nonverbal Intelligence that similar to the teaching content. But this study did not have obvious effects to the other one experimenter. We made the relevant discussion about this study result, the limits and further plan of the research were discussed in the following articles.
