　　　　　本研究探討新聞組織內部的權力運作與工作自主這組老問題，但試圖跳脫傳統新聞專業論述方式，藉由對組織與權力概念的再思考，重新回到台灣報社真實情境描繪組織內部權力運作。本研究發現，以古典權力觀為基礎的新聞專業論述，在處理組織內部權力問題時，似乎於無形間簡化了權力本質，因此過份看重老闆壟斷和直接粗控權的能力。在真實情境中，權力源自組織不同層面，細膩且多樣性地發揮影響，且新聞工作者亦能展出相對應的權力抗拒策略。同時，權力更包含協調每日新聞生產工作的正面功能。進一步，台灣報社會配合工作者對組織與新聞專業的效忠，形成一種封建式權力關係，使新聞工作雖具形式自由，但權力仍可隨各階主管逐層擴散出去，因此更增加了權力的細膩複雜陰柔特質。為對抗這種權力控制，我們主張發展新形式的迂迴抗拒策略回應新聞工作自主。
