從眾多的文獻探討中，吾人發現靈性領導(spiritual leadership)是領導研究的新議題亦是未來可能發展的趨勢。吾人從學校組織特性、教育輔導、關懷倫理及生命教育等方面之探討，可以瞭解靈性領導頗為適合運用在學校組織。 靈性在領導上是一個新的觀念，過去我們一直忽略這個觀念，而現在是將靈性融入教育領導的時候了。基於此，本文首先闡述靈性及靈性領導的意涵，接著論述與靈性領導的相關議題，之後參酌靈性領導的意涵及各家觀點，進一步從「將靈性視為學校領導者的重要修鍊」、「創造有意義的教育願景」、「以服務及利他精神幫助教師自我實現及自我超越」、「營造教師專業學習社群」等方面闡述靈性領導在學校領導的實踐，以供教育相關人員的參考。
Issues regarding spiritual leadership have been ignored in leadership theory and practice. However, spiritual leasdership can influence organizational development and performance. Spiritual leadership will play an important part of leadership theory in the future. Thus, the main purpose of this paper is to explore the concepts and dimensions of spiritual leadership. According to the literature, the author makes some suggestions about implications of spiritual leadership for school administrators.
