綜觀有關心理幸福的實證成果大多僅在於探討個人背景變項、社會網絡對心理幸福的影響，鮮少採用重視身材的觀點對心理幸福進行檢證，本研究依據所探討的文獻，並且結合「社會網絡」、「重視身材」和「心理幸福」三個構念，來建構一個影響大學生心理幸福的因果模式。本研究取用國立臺灣師範大學教育與評鑑中心釋出的臺灣高等教育資料庫，研究對象為全國各大專院校的大三學生，同時運用結構方程模式統計方法檢證其模式適配度。研究結果發現，社會網絡和重視身材對大學生心理幸福分別有直接正向與負向的影響，而且共可預測到大學生心理幸福的21％。最後，研究者根據研究結果，提出如何提昇大學生心理幸福之實務建議，以及進一步研究的具體意見。
