本文旨在探討國民小學社會科課程目標，首?分析社會科教育的性質；進而簡述社會科課程目標之演進；最後，提出當前國小社會科課程目標修訂應注意的角度。

　　　　　This paper is to analyze the curriculum objectives of social studies in elementary school in the Republic of China. Three parts in this paper are discussed. The nature of social studies education is firstly explored. In the second part, the objectives in the different periods are presented. And then some implications for the revision of objectives are interpreted.
