This research aims to analyzing the reading attitude of Taiwanese 15-year-old students by employing PISA 2009, Programme for International Student Assessment, through data mining. The research method uses cluster analysis to uncover the similarity on the assessment results answered by all the underlined students, the importance factors for influencing reading attitude are classified by the help of regression analysis. From the research findings, the reading attitude is a key in influencing reading literacy performances. The concentrated or engagement attitude is one of the greatest influence keys, followed by the enjoyment attitude, and lastly the casual attitude is a lighter influencing key. The reading literacy performance is highly influenced by the reading attitude and a major influence factor is the concentrated or engagement reading. The research findings may serve as a reference for further PISA researches.
