　　　　　本研究主要目的在於瞭解中學教師的自我導向學習準備度、在職進修學習成效，及其二者間之關係。主要研究方法包括文獻分析法及問卷調查法，研究樣本為參加暑期研究所學分班進修的中學教師，以分層隨機抽樣與叢集抽樣所結合之多階段抽樣法（multistage sampling）進行之，共發出問卷數為1620份，回收之有效問卷共1319份，有效問卷回收率為81.4%。研究工具為研究者編修之「教師自我導向學習準備度」及「教師在職進修學習成效」問卷。本研究主要研究結果如下：一、中學教師普遍具有自我導向學習的能力與意願；二、中學教師在研究所學分班的學習成效頗佳；三、中學教師的自我導向學習準備度與其在職進修學習成效呈正向關係。
