兒童早期的詞彙能力對於後續的語言和閱讀能力,甚至認知發展,都有重要的影響。因此,探究可能影響詞彙學習歷程的重要因素,將可提供一般兒童的詞彙教學以及特定型語言障礙兒童的早期介入課程重要的參考資訊。本文首先說明學前一般發展和語言障礙兒童在詞彙能力上的發展情形,並依據新詞學習的歷程探討兒童本身所具備的不同層次音韻處理能力和詞彙能力之間的關係。
Early vocabulary ability is an important indicator of a child's linguistic, reading and cognitive development in later stages. Therefore, exploring the important factors which influence early vocabulary learning process could provide critical information to vocabulary instruction or intervention programs for children with normal language development or specific language impairment. This paper first addresses vocabulary development in children with or without language impairment, and then discusses the relationship between children's different levels of phonological processing abilities and their vocabulary development based on the framework of word learning process.
