本研究目的旨在探討台灣運動人才的培訓往往必須仰賴、教練的帶領與訓練，尤其過去體育專班若採取集體住宿制度，教練往往必須全面兼顧食衣住行等家長的職權，在亦師亦父的角色之下，帶領的風格就像是嚴父般，訓練選手相關的體能、技巧、戰術與心理方面的對抗性，適時給予選手懲處與恩惠，因此就台灣南部運動風氣盛行的Y國中為對象，探討運動教練若採用家長式領導，對於管理及訓練選手會有哪方面的助益及困難，並希望藉由這次研究的觀察，提供往後國中運動教練採行家長式領導時的建議。

The purposes of this study are the effects of management and train to athletes by paternalistic leadership. Athletes' training in Taiwan must to rely the lead of coach. In the past, coaches also were like parents have to take care athletes' basic daily needs if the athletes live in dormitory. Between the role of teacher and parent, coach lead athletes like a kind mother and a severe father, must to guide athletes' physical, sport skill, tactical and psychological, further give athletes punished and encourage. Therefore, the study will research athletes in junior high school in south Taiwan, on the one part explore the helpful and difficulties in management and training by paternalistic leadership, on the other part try to provide some suggests for junior high school coach lead by paternalistic leadership.
