International Taekwondo competitions started using comprehensive electronic protectors since 2008. The competition rules and tactics had enormously changed. Purpose: This study aimed to analyze various attacking tactics for female athletes in terms of scoring areas and scoring methods during World Junior Taekwondo Championship 2014. Method: A qualitative observational method was applied to the filming video content. Targets: The female gold medalists from category 1 to 10. Videos are filmed from preliminaries to final competitions. Results: The main scoring patterns were initiative attacks. The scores gained from side kick increased while from back kick decreased. The scoring area of the head scores more than the trunk. Direct attack scores more than consecutive changing attacks. Conclusion: Adjust the angle of the back kick, raise the attack rates of the upper areas and increase side kick with more initiative attacking actions while training could get better result in a competition. At the same time, using different attacking tactics toward the upper areas would make opponent more difficult to defense thus facilitate the scoring opportunity.
