This research was to investigate the development process of a senior English teacher based on grounded theory. It interviewed participant in detail, and got transcript which was processed by open coding, to indentify the properties and dimensions. Then the data result can be analyzed by two axiala. They were study period and teaching period, in order to understand the internal shifts of the participant. Furthermore, by means of process coding and optional coding, the career process was divided into career uncertain period、career decision period、career adaption period、career abruption period、career change period and career position period. The purpose of this reseach was to understand the development process of a senior English teacher. The result of this research can be the reference of the career plan of English teachers, and the successful sample of teacher's training.
