Education reform is a systematic, foresighted, and continuous work, of which the success mainly depends upon curriculum reform. This paper discusses the probable problems arising from textbook edition and review, and the strategies should be adopted from the perspectives on the basic concepts of the Nine-year Consistent Curriculum. It begins with an introduction of the most important concepts that characterize the Nine-year Consistent Curriculum, such as curriculum integration, school-based curriculum, null curriculum, competence-based curriculum, and school accountability, and further.the regulations related to them in the Guideline of the Curriculum announced by the Ministry of Education. Next, it describes the meaning and the purpose of opening the textbook reviewed editions. It proposes several key issues in textbook edition and review that might happen when the Curriculum being carried out in the near future, i.e.,the lack of specialists required to review course materials, the difficult link between the Guideline and the textbook, the limited time for preparation, the difficulty in establishing the objective standards for examination and review, the inevitable disputes, and so on. Thereafter some concrete suggestions have been made to the Ministry of Education, private publishers, and organizations empowered by the Ministry of education to review course materials in response to the realization of the new Curriculum.
