The purpose of this study was to explore the content and current status of organizational culture and teachers' professional commitment in elementary schools. Secondly, this study was to compare the difference among envirormental variables, the teachers' demographic variables respect to school organizational culture and the teachers' professional commitment in the elementary school. Thirdly, the study was to analyze the relationships between organizational culture and the teachers' professional commitment. Finally, the study was to predict the variables and influence of the school organizational culture and the teachers' professional commitment. The targets of this study were the elementary teachers from Tao-yuan, Hsin-chu, and Miao-li counties. The study was proceeded by tools which was developed by the researcher and named “Eelementary school Organizational Culture and Teachers' Professional Commitment Inventory”, including School Organizational Culture Inventory and Teachers' Professional Commitment Inventory. The normal exam was obtained 925 valid questionnaires; each of them was processed by statistical methods such as “Descriptive Statistics” , “T-Test” , “One-Way ANOVA” , “Analysis of Product-Moment Correlation” , “Canonical Correlation Analysis” , “Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis”. Finally, to bring up some concrete suggestions according to the study outcomes as references for elementary school administration, elementary school teachers and correlated study in the future.
