The purpose of this study was to investigate the leadership of vocational high school principals on school-based curriculum, and to analyze the viewpoints of vocational high school principals from their different backgrounds about what abilities they should possess and what abilities they have already possessed. First, in-depth interviews were taken with 3 vocational high school principals and 2 scholars. In addition, the research takes the vocational high school principals as the research candidates and adopts a census survey to carry on the questionnaire investigation. A total of return rate was 77.2%. According to the findings, the followings are the proposed suggestions: 1.Emphasize on curriculum leadership for new and current principals. 2.Give public school principals more elastic and more abundant resources. 3.Supervise private school principals to obtain curriculum leadership. 4.Encourage principals whom with college background to attend advanced study on the job. 5.Encourage the study related to the high school principal's curriculum leadership.
