The topic of this paper is entitled in On Knowledge Management in the Education Sector, and the author directly focuses upon knowledge management within the context of education and schools, due to the fact that the general examination of knowledge management in this respect has been well documented in the book, The Theory and Application of Knowledge Management: The case of the education sector and its innovation, written by the author. The paper is divided in five sections as the following: Firstly, the differences and similarities of knowledge management between the public and private sectors are contrasted. This is flowed by an examination of the features of managing knowledge in education. Then a number of themes relating to education reform are delineated in the third section of this paper. Fourthly, six approaches of knowledge management applicable to education are identified. Finally and above all, three suggestions for improving knowledge management in the education sector and schools are concluded.
