This thesis intended to study the inspiration of Sun Tzu’s intellection to school administrative leadership. Sun Tzu’s leadership intellection contains the western theory on leadership including trait theory, behavioral theory, contingency leadership theory and transformation leadership. It also contains the spirit of chinese style leadership, creating the best situation and contingency leadership. All fits well into chinese character. The inspiration of Sun Tzu’s intellection to school administrative leadership are: 1.The principal’s attribution and charisma: (1) The principal shall have “five virtues” and avoid “five dangers” , and (2) The principal shall control his anger. 2. The principal shall know the enemy and know himself, then he does not need to fear the result of a hundred battles: (1) The principal shall has the birds eye viewpoint for overall situation, and (2) building the internal information system. 3. Create the best situation for leadership: (1) creating the common goals for the school, (2) creating the common value and philosphy; (3) creating a working team. 4. Strict and clear award and punishment: (1) tempered management, and (2) inspiration and conditional awards. 5. Delegating syste m. 6. Contingency leadership.
