     本研究旨在探討國小教師的社會科教學信念現況,分析社會領域教學信念有關之教師背景與教學實務因素,以作為協助國小教師改進社會領域教學的基礎。研究者根據訪談國小社會科教師結果,自編「國小教師社會科教學信念問卷」,針對雲林、嘉義縣市八十九學年度擔任社會領域教學之國小教師,以分層隨機取樣抽取500人為樣本,進行調查。調查結果經以因素分析、變異數分析以及典型相關等統計方法處理,結果發現:當前國小教師之社會領域教學信念較傾向傳統講授傳遞的教學觀,強調社會科知識的永恆、讓學生接受教科書知識,主張透過教師有效的教學教導正確的價值觀與獲得系統性的知識;教師的教學信念會依其不同年齡、任教地區、職務與年級的背景而有差異;在教學實務上,教師具不同的教學信念因素明顯的可以反映出「合作建構」與「講授傳遞」之教學策略的偏向。
