This study aimed at developing a set of social skills picture book guidance program, and exploring the effectiveness of picture books guidance program to enhance social skills ability to selectively mutism children. The subject of this study was an elementary child with selective mutism. According to the results, the following conclusions were attainable: (a)The guidance program elements can combine into real life situations and sequentially guide selective mutism children to learn social skills. (b)The implementation of picture book guidance program helps selective mutism children adjust pressures and face conflicts. (c)The implementation of picture book guidance program improves the interpersonal skills of selective mutism children. (d)The school team coaching model can effectively track student progress in the case, and the results showed positive in the development of selective mutism children's social skills. Based on the above findings, this study proposed recommendations for selective mutism children guidance for future researches, and provided a reference for school counselors and researchers.
