The purpose of this study is to explore a planning of school-based Dragon and Lion Dance physical education curriculum in an elementary school. The study based on the school-based physical education curriculum development evaluation indexes which was made by Pan (2008), collected information from a certificated Dragon and Lion Dance Sports school in Taiwan. This case also utilized document analysis, individual interviews, and focus group interviews to conduct the research. The result of study indicated: 1.the school curriculum development committee designed a Dragon and Lion Dance Sports curriculum based on characteristics of the school sports culture. 2. the case develops a system of curriculum objective, structure, content and learning evaluation method in Dragon and Lion Dance Sports curriculum from grade 1 to grade 6. It is concluded as follows: (a) the school well processed on planning the school-based Dragon and Lion Dance Sports curriculum. (b) the school contains a systematic design of Dragon and Lion Dance Sports curriculum. The subjects of the school sports programs will be a reference for other schools when they program the same curriculum structure.
