The main purpose of the study is to evaluate both curriculum patterns and actual outcomes of nine-year integrated curriculum pilot program at junior high school level. Some major findings, which are secured from this study, are stated as follows: 1. Among seven area of learning, comprehensive activities, social studies, and language arts are three favorably chosen areas in pilot program. 2. About 60% of schools surveyed have developed school-based curriculum , and about half of these schools have adopted cross-area curricular integration. 3.In the dimension of favorable effects, Factor V “Favorable Effects of Student-Based Course Contents’, Factor IV “Favorable Effects of Curricular Implementation”, and Factor III “Favorable Effects of Curricular Design and Development”, these factors and their items are evaluated rather positively. 4. In the dimension of related difficults, Factor V “Difficults of Increased Burdens of School Operations” and Factor II “ Difficults of Relevant Administrative Supports” , these factors and their items are evaluated rather negatively.
