The purposes of this study were to explore how the Korean National curriculum has been changed so far and how the textbook system is closely linked to the curriculum, and described the new revision system of the national curriculum and identified the textbook policy appropriate for the new national curriculum. This study employed the literature review of previous research, and content analysis of textbook systems in Korea. The findings of this study are summarized as follows.1. The current Korean national curriculum system is in a period of transition from 'one time-complete revision' of the national curriculum to 'frequent-partial revision' of the one.2. The Textbook policy is from government-issued and authorized textbooks towards increasing approved textbooks.3. The 2010 Textbook Reform system for 2009 curriculum policy has not been yet adequate preparation.
