家長參與子女教育這項主題近來受到教師及家長的重視,家長參與子女教育是家庭文化資本及社會資本的具體表現,對子女的學習結果有相當大的影響。本研究主要目的在針對家長參與子女教育之相關研究及具體做法做文獻上的整理,分別從家長參與的意義與類型、家長參與的重要性、家長參與的相關實證研究及家長參與具體作法四部分探討之。從分析中可以明確得知家長參與對兒童的學業成就有正向的影響,家長若能及早參與子女學習,則所得到的教育成效會越好,基於這項理由,父母參與學前教育的重要性受到普遍的肯定,隨著子女的成長,不同成長階段有不同的參與學習方式。在實務工作上,本文針對教師及家長推展家長參與子女教育的具體作法加以探討,使父母能更加關心子女在家庭中的學習,也能與學校教師密切合作,共同為子女的學習而努力。
Parental involvement in children's education has been viewed as an important educational issue by teachers and parents in recent years. Parental involvement is the embodiment of cultural and social capital, which influences children's learning outcomes. The• purpose of this paper is to explore the relevant researches and practices of parent involvement from four different perspectives: classifications of parental involvement, the importance of parental involvement, empirical studies of parental involvement, and practical methods of parental involvement. The results indicate that parental involvement has positive influences on children's achievement. The earlier parents involve children's learning, the better the educational outcomes. According to the findings, the importance of parental involvement in preschool education is affirmative. In addition, different patterns of parental involvement have various effects in each growing stage. This paper also provides practical methods for parents concern children's learning at home and cooperate with teachers in school.
