題名:學校、教師、家長與學生特質對原漢學業成就的影響--以臺東縣國小為例

本研究主要目的在於分析學校、教師、家長與學生特質,對原漢學童國語數學成績的影響,並檢證相關理論與假設。本研究發現原住民學童國語和數學成績比漢人低約十八分,這可完全由原住民學童父母社經地位較低,因此社會資本、財物資本和文化資本都不如漢人,加上智力較低解釋掉。不過即使原住民學童有與漢人相同社經地位的父母,各項資本仍顯著不如漢人,這進一步不利於成績。此外,原住民學童的教師較多兼行政、學歷較高也對成績不利。比起漢人,原住民學童智力顯著較低約十五個百分等級,不過原漢間智力的差異,約 70 %可被原住民學童「多不在東市國小」、「兄弟姐妹數較多」和父母的「社經地位偏低」這幾個因素解釋掉。
This study investigates the effects of schools, teachers, parents, and students' characteristics on students' academic achievement. The major finding is: Aboriginal students came from lower SES families and had more siblings than Han students, which gave aboriginal children less cultural capital, educational resources, lower IQ, and, thus lower “self educational aspiration”. In turn, these factors resulted in lower, academic achievement. Even after controlling students' background variables, aboriginal students still had less cultural capital, educational resources, and lower IQ than Han students. Some conditions of schools and teachers were detrimental to aboriginal students. The aboriginal students' IQ scored 15% points lower than Han students'.
