本研究旨在探討台灣與德國幼兒教育課程特質。本研究以台灣與德國各五所幼兒教育機構為對象,採用觀察、問卷、訪談及文獻等方法收集資料,並依Bereday的比較教育研究法進行實徵資料分析。
本研究結果包含四方面,如下:
1. 台灣幼兒教育課程特質在社會層次上,轉變中的教育政策使政府扮演保障家庭與幼兒權益及監督機構運作的角色;在機構層次上,幼教機構主要以國外幼教理論發展課程,以及在競爭生態下出現的複雜組織形式;在教學層次上,包含教學為主的空間安排、緊湊的時間運用、重視親師關係及教師在職進修等特質。
2. 德國幼兒教育課程特質在社會層次上,受國際研究(PISA)影響的教育政策使政府對家庭與機構運作提供較有限的財務支助;在機構層次上,幼教機構主要以本土理論來發展課程、一致標準的學生收費及教師薪資;在教學層次上,其重視遊戲及家庭特質的安排、重視親師合作與溝通等特質。
3. 共同點是兩國幼兒教育課程皆呈現多元的教育理念與方法、強調師資訓練與實習,以及重視與家長的關係等。
4. 兩國的差異在於對教育機構設立標準、對家庭之教育補助方式、機構之組織型態、收費及薪資發放方式等。
The purpose of this study is to compare the characters of the early childhood curriculum(ECC)between Taiwan and Germany. The data are collected from five early childhood institutions in Taiwan and so in Germany. The methods of this study include observation, questionnaire, interview, and literature analysis. In analyzing the empirical data, this study adopts Bereday’s comparative method. The results of this study are fourfold:
1. The characters of the ECC in Taiwan are:(1)the government plays the roles to defend the rights of family and children under the changing wave of the EC policy, and to supervise the EC institutions on the social level. (2)the EC institutions use mainly other countries’ early childhood pedagogies and operate with the complex styles of organizations. (3)the space and time of the EC classrooms focus on teaching, the relationships with child’s parents, and educators’ on-the-job or in-service training.
2. The characters of the ECC in Germany are:(1)the government plays the role to provide family and the EC institutions more limited financial support under the EC policy resulted from the PISA report. (2)the EC institutions use local pedagogies and the same standards of fee and educators’ salary. (3)the EC classrooms emphasize play, classrooms as home, as well as the corporation and communication with children’s parents.
3. The similarity of the early childhood curricula between Taiwan and Germany includes multiple theories and pedagogies, as well as the emphasis on educator’s training and practice, and the relationships with children’s parents.
4. The differences of the early childhood curricula between Taiwan and Germany consist in the standards and rules to set the EC institution, the way to support family the tuition and fee, the styles of organization of the institutions, and the way to pay the tuition and fee as well as pay salary.
