The present study using the Taiwan Social Change Survey published in 1984 and 1997 explores the change of the impact that the factor of backgrounds in children's education has in Taiwan. The conclusion of this research indicated that background and education influenced educational disparity in Taiwan. Also, under the process of rapid economical development, as educational expansion and the probability of entering advanced school increased drastically, educational expectation and influence on sons and daughters by parents have become stronger. Finally, parents deeply care abowt their children especially as far as family education is concerned.
