The purpose of this study was to explore the adult learning motivation and barrier of the in-service teacher from the Vocational High School, to evaluate the relationship between motivations and obstacle in different variables. In order to understand the relationship between motivations and obstacle for the Vocational High School Teachers on-service educationm, factor analysis and structural equation modeling are analyzed by AMOS ver. 7.0. In order to understand the factors of the advance study aspiration from the Vocational High School in-service teachers, semi-structural questionnaire was applied. Those factors included teachers’ belife、prefer issue and teaching material、profession development ladder、learneing emviroment. Subjects were sampled from Vocational High School teachers. In this study, convenience samples were employed through the questionnaire, a total of 520 questionnaires were distributed, 468 were received. The results reveal that the biggest adult learning motivation and obstacle of the Vocational High School in-service teachers is expand knowledge field and time insufficient barrier, respectively. There was a negative correlation between teacher’s motivation of pursuing learning interest、professional progress & escape or seeking stimulation and teacher’s advance study obstacle of Vocational High School. Motivations of external expectation had significantly positive correlation with teacher’s advance study obstacle. There was not related between the motivation of social service, expandin interpersonal relationship and teacher’s advance study obstacle of Vocational High School.
